Have recently re-read Frank Richards, Old Soldiers Never Die. What a rip roaring story. Obviously very brave but that is understated. [He knew Robert Graves (Goodbye to all That) Sassoon (Memoirs of a Fox-hunting Man) and Dunn (The War the Infantry Knew)]. Highly recommended.

One of my favourite memories of all time alongside Old Soldiers Sahib. Fascinating insight to the life of a soldier who joined 100 years before I did.
