North London Forever.
I just scared the shit out of my entire family
28.09.2025 17:36 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Nothing better. Pasta e fagioli over here, although I cheated and bought the bread. Gumbo this weekend maybe
23.09.2025 21:42 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Forty five minutes of liver kick techniques minimum. That's the Rutten Promise
22.09.2025 08:16 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Powerwash Simulator is my meditation time, because I've ceded the acnh island to my son. Although popping on there every few weeks and weeding/cleaning up the beach does my soul good too...
12.08.2025 12:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I may have to experiment at that price. The KR does a great job but when you're doing enough for cacio e pepe, your hands let you know.
21.07.2025 23:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0What brand did you buy? My Kuhn Rikon appears to be immortal, but I've always been curious about the electric ones.
21.07.2025 22:13 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I bring a mixed six pack of interesting beer for the others and then whatever non-alcoholic drinks I'm going to get into. Gives them a chance to try new stuff, they'll stick to routine if left to their own devices
17.07.2025 12:31 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The Outer Worlds is one of the funniest video games I've ever played, especially in Dumb mode. Come for the decline of empire satire, stay for the NPC's awkwardness when they realize you're dumber than a box of rocks!
11.07.2025 21:58 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This, this, a million times this. And I'm in a province that makes the "good stuff".
05.07.2025 15:46 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I suppose my greatest objection to using Chat GPT instead of writing yourself is that you cannot convince anyone to do anything unless you know how to use words well. ๐งต
02.07.2025 02:35 โ ๐ 142 ๐ 14 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 3Android auto's controls make it way too easy to accidentally tick over to 1.2x. I then start thinking that Andrew is sounding REALLY fired up about the starting lineup until I realise what I've done and immediately flip it back to regular speed. Can't handle it otherwise
16.06.2025 18:14 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0My team: Arsenal
Why? Watching Ian Wright highlights on Transworld Sports in 1993. It was the only soccer I remember being on TV in Canada until the lead up to the 94 WC. We'd get the London Times at the library too, just a week behind, and I'd read every story I found.
A friend asked me who I was cheering for. I answered that I'd be sticking to my routine. I pull for two teams every week - Arsenal and whoever's playing Spurs.
It tastes like ashes today, but a man has to have a code
Not ours, but my parents...my brother was almost named Thor. And this was in the early eighties...
04.05.2025 22:52 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thank you! Now to see if I can talk my mom into a bit of a project when we're visiting...
04.05.2025 19:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Would never say no to a cheese toastie, but the oil pickles are what I'm really interested in. I'd never heard of them, but a little research later, I really want to try some. Might be a project for the summer!
04.05.2025 13:34 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yep. Muni golf was still very accessible to most folks when I was a kid. We couldn't afford it otherwise.
11.04.2025 17:54 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0itโs st totteringhamโs day
:)
03.04.2025 21:07 โ ๐ 32 ๐ 10 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0That's pretty close to a recipe for yachaejeon! I'd have it anytime, but with a Korean-style dipping sauce - soy, vinegar, gochugaru, sesame seeds. Maybe a bit of kimchi on the side...
31.03.2025 13:09 โ ๐ 9 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Meera Sodha's daily dal was the recipe that taught me this. I "cheated" once by hammering the onions and the resulting lack of depth was incredible. Never again
24.03.2025 23:51 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Fiber internet to my house in 1996. Dad knew who to talk to at the telco to get in on the beta. About a 5mb connection in a time when 28.8k modems were standard...
18.03.2025 07:38 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I glance-read that as "ninny albifacies" and that's what I'm calling my son the next time he earns it
12.03.2025 16:57 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It looks amazing. Is that just Kewpie mayo on the salad?
07.03.2025 11:35 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Mick Herron's "Slow Horses". Bought it ages ago, never quite got into it, but I think it's grabbed me this time. That and cookbooks...
05.03.2025 17:03 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0For what it's worth, I didn't check the score once during the game. I'm not convinced that didn't help
04.03.2025 22:19 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's one of the few joints my son actually likes. I'll report back. I'll warn you in advance, though, their track record on sauces ain't great
28.02.2025 23:57 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Stated beautifully. Life goes on.
24.02.2025 21:47 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The Arsenal community is pretty active (and nice, which is a big deal for me). What I still stick my nose into X for is cricket - they don't seem interested in moving at all. But gazing into the hellmouth for that isn't worth all the shit that goes with...
23.02.2025 13:09 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That's exactly why I haven't. I've been private there for at least five years, I haven't actually posted anything for longer. And yet...maybe today's the day.
