Anyway, I remember being presented a “male” cat for a neuter - super simple, super fast surgical procedure.

Cat had been seen before by other vets (supposedly), was checked in no problem but we couldn’t find the anatomy…cat was actually femalr. And got a more complicated surgery done that day.

As long as you didn’t lose Z, all is well.

I remember being asked if I could teach how to sex chicks. I looked the topic up and very quickly declined to try. That’s serious stuff.

I know a similar horror story (2024):
Me: The (new-ish) car is making a noise I don't like.
Him: it's just the fan
Me: only when the engine kicks in
Him: I don't hear it
German guy at hockey practice: your engine is making a terrible, very bad noise
Him: oh no!
Me: let's hope we make it back home...

For a long time, anytime my husband and I explore somewhere new, I insisted we go to the zoo and he would insist we visit the aquarium. It's a good life.

The Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga has a fantastic fresh water fish display. (one of the first aquaria we visited together).

I loved (LOVED) the Monterrey Bay Aquarium when I was in town for 2 weeks in 2008. I loved the schooling fish exhibit, where the fish swam in a circular tank overhead. I loved all of the jellyfish windows and the otters in the bay. Also the aquarium on Jeju Island (Rep of Korea) is amazing.

Also, maybe more emphasis on the danger, and less so on the glory.

Soup cooking in a dutch oven

Soup in a homemade bowl with goat-fetz (softer than feta but similar flavor).

It was a cool, sometimes sunny, sometimes raining wildly, and finally windy day. So soup was made.

Persian-style Tomato and Lentil Soup with deutsch goat fetz cheese and not enough fresh bread or parsely.

I’ll give that a try. Is it from your fitness device or from the Strava app (or website)?

I haven’t yet convinced my Apple workouts to consistently sync to strava. Oh well.

Strava has never liked my swims, even when open water swimming. I haven’t figured it out. Apple fitness? Fine. Garmin? Works but touch-y. Strava on it’s own? Nope, no way.

And cause pipes to overflow with sewage. And then it stinks something awful. And require plumbers to dismantle all the toilets in the bathrooms. Gross.

Don’t flush “disposable” wipes!!

Someone - and I’m not naming any names here - ate chicken that was left out on the table.

Someone - still not naming names - is incredibly, horrendously gassy, very uncomfortable, laying on the floor, and not at all his normal obnoxious Labrador self.

So yeah, I’m a little worried.
