Amazing that Labour are able to get the energy cap down 48 hours before the by-election. What good fortune for them.

Replies disabled but clearly bsky incompetent. I think we can conclude from that, that this account is a spineless Labour melt. Because otherwise it would allow Greens a right of reply and indeed, a right to trash this ridiculous and pathetic argument.

Shame on you, @politicsintheuk.bsky.social

In Gorton and Denton, vote for Hannah Spencer & the Greens.

There is only one way we will defeat Reform: by working together.

This is true. I'm struggling to see how their *policy* differs from that of Labour though. And what does that say about Starmer and crew?

Labour's campaign against the Greens is toxic and they have the audacity to say that the Greens are manipulating Muslim voters? Labour have done nothing for Muslim voters and then they use our name to attack parties who acknowledge Islamophobia and who the reject far-right narratives which harm us.

There is a reason for this hatred. The government being complicit in supporting Israel as it carries out ethnic cleansing and a genocide is a betrayal of British values. How can you be complicit in genocide and expect this subject to be parked to the side in a by election.

Labour has accused the Greens of “whipping up hatred” among Muslim voters before tomorrow’s by-election after they called for Sir Keir Starmer’s party to be “punished for Gaza”.

The State of It, the political podcast by The Times and The Sunday Times, today reveals that cabinet ministers privately believe the Greens are “hammering us” by “deliberately raising the salience of Gaza in the constituency”.

Starmer has repeatedly insisted that Gorton is a “straight fight” between Labour and Reform, despite the fact that polls indicate it is a three-way battle between Labour, the Greens and Reform.

Hannah Spencer, the Green candidate, has distributed leaflets in Gorton & Denton in Urdu, saying that voters should “make Labour pay” and accusing them of pushing “racist, dog-whistle gutter policies”. On the leaflet, she is pictured wearing a keffiyeh.

On Monday, the party circulated a campaign video in Urdu accusing Matt Goodwin, the Reform candidate, of being someone who will “fuel the flames of Islamophobia”. In a response on X, Goodwin accused the party of “blatant sectarianism” .

He added: “If you want an MP who will obsess over Gaza, prioritise the Muslim vote, and put some communities before others, then vote Green. But if you want an MP who will prioritise the people of Gorton & Denton, then vote Reform.”

Are we supposed to be happy that energy bills are coming down to last summers level? When they were already outrageously and inexcusably high at last summers level? Impressed I am not.

Trans ppl are at the eye of the fascist storm in the US & the UK. The number of Americans moving to what they hope are sanctuary cities is huge. In fact whole families are moving with their trans children. A similar exodus is happening from the UK to Ireland & again it’s not individuals, its ,,, [1]
