Marketing firms have been trying to pay actors as little as possible for years (one big advert could set an actor up for a year, now for most pay might just cover the weeks big shop) so of course they're getting hard for slop.

Actors get buyouts if they are featured prominently (they become the face of the brand for as long as the ad runs so can't really do other ads). You would get paid again if the advert came back. However buyouts now are so fucking miniscule.

As soon as Henry arrives it dials up the screwball comedy and delivers an insanely high gag rate. Even the little moments deliver, like Indy smiling at the end of the motorbike chase until he sees Henry's expression. Brilliant.

Connery and Ford have such good comic chops.

Rewatched Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade today because it is my comfort blanket movie and good lord that film is funny.

Yeah. I like this poster. Woman of Tomorrow was a great book and though they've dropped that title from the movie (and added Lobo) I can't wait to see what they do with it.

More comedies makes sense and lend themselves to the Christmas special. I'd need to check the last few years of stats but I would think comedy Christmas specials have proven a greater return on investment in terms of cost and overall audience.

Hmm. There's one with James Buckley but now I think about it that's on C4. There is Sheddites which I think is on One (but maybe its on two). Hmm. Now I think about it. No. There's not much at all.

There are more one off comedies across the channels I think (at least than I remember in recent years) and there is another ghost story for Christmas but I don't think it is on BBC One. But yes there is a distinct lack of big new prestige drama.

Liking what I'm hearing about 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (including that it will split audiences more than part one). Excited to see this franchise get weirder.

This is far better reporting than every other major news outlet that I have seen so far.

The west coast of America is my second favourite place on Earth and despite that I have witnessed far more fucked up shit in average small American towns than I ever have in London, Birmingham or other alleged "no go zone".
