One Battle After Another feels like Paul Thomas Anderson doing his version of a Coen Brothers movie with a Spike Lee joint thrown in for good measure. Urgent, ridiculous, intense, darkly funny, powerful ending.

Seeing Goldeneye on the big screen is always a delight. Seeing One Battle After Another in IMAX is superb but if the length doesn't challenge your bladder, the booming sound mix will. But a good day at the cinema all round.

Goldeneye anniversary re-release followed by One Battle After Another in IMAX. That's a proper Sunday.
