It’s a mess but we kind of knew it would be given our CEO has cancer and the DoF was a tosser who was only hired because he’s the CEOs mate. Realistically we’ve been going for sought after players in a transfer window where the big clubs have been extremely active. Not a lot we can do about it.

As long as Newcastle don’t buy Jackson (🤮) then alls well that ends well. We still have one of the best starting XIs in England, and I distinctly look forward to humbling some southern Tories this season 🖤🤍

Either way, no skin off my back. Ekitike bombed at PSG and Man U have already driven one promising young forward to cry their way off the pitch in the last 12 months. It’s going to be really funny to watch City win the league this season.

I’d understand if we were going in for Bellingham, Mbappe or Vini Jr - but the players we’ve been linked with are generally raw emerging talents from the continent. That’s exactly the profile of player we should be aiming for. It’s more confusing that the “big 6” are swinging lower for these players

Quick rant - I’m really don’t get this “Newcastle don’t have the pull of a big club” narrative being peddled by some journos and pundits. I genuinely don’t get who they think we’re supposed to be signing as a club that is in the Champions League and attempting to push to continue at that level.

Very, very bold of you to assume we’ll negotiate without a replacement already lined up. I strongly doubt we’ll start the season with only Osula and (at a push) Wissa. And at this point, there’s nobody on the market that fills that specific Swedish shaped hole.

Hey if yous wanted it done it would be done. I think your management would clearly like it if he signs, but he evidently isn’t a priority. If he was yous a) would’ve gone for him earlier, & b) wouldn’t have signed our number 1 replacement for him when we were the only other bid.

I get the feeling that Liverpool did not actually want Isak. They’ve seen an opportunity to either sign one of the best strikers in the world or absolutely torpedo a top 4 contenders transfer window. And by all accounts it has worked. Fair play to them, up to us to make lemonade from piss. #NUFC

Tbf if selling him doesn’t work for us then he doesn’t go. He can whinge and moan about it all he wants but end of the day there’s zero chance of us starting with just Osula up front (and I’ll show my bare arse in the window of Fenwicks if I’m proven wrong).

No replacement, no move for Isak unfortunately. Would rather see the back of him at this point but needs of the club come first. I remember Cabaye doing the same thing and then playing out of his skin after his transfer didn’t come through. Just up to Howe to manage the situation right.

Start of the window we needed:
- replacement for Wilson
- replacement for Miggy
- replacement for Sean
- a new RCB
- a ball playing GK

We’ve got 2 out of those 5 so far. With a few weeks left there’s still plenty of time for this to be a successful window. As long as Isak behaves. #NUFC

Problem with Jackson is that he’s proven to be limited (if we’re being kind) in the Prem. I’m sure he could improve under another coach, but Chelsea will want to make a sizeable profit on him. Whatever they will ask for a player barely averaging double digits goals a season is too much.

Arguably one of the best midfield 3s in the league (if not in Europe), exciting young defenders and wingers, a new GK who can actually kick a football. Desperately need a Wilson back up, regardless of whatever happens with Isak, but beyond that our best starting XI can compete with anyone

Big problem with perspective in this transfer window. Everyone was so excited for new signings, the lack thereof is winding everyone up. So a quick reminder - we have a very good squad. We need reinforcements, but don’t write the season off just yet. I’d take our team over Man U’s any day. #NUFC
