One horrific reason #Adoption continues to exist in the USA separating millions of families already is because we fail to support moms/kids (policy failures by both parties) and we incentivize family separation with tax giveaways like this proposal. tomorrow is world adoption day i guess, it’s wild how many holidays and months we have to be like “doesn’t it rule that you were permanently separated from your family and identity and that someone was able to buy you like a product? isn’t that an amazing and healthy system that has zero downsides?”
