My hardline anti spoiler stance is not just some form of OCD but because I love when cinema surprises me. Especially genre shifts, e.g. wish I'd seen Kill List as a simple thriller instead of knowing the folk horror turn is coming.

This change of film review focus is great for me as I don't care about spoilers on these so much. Which is not to say I don't have affection for them. But I do have a bunch of your reviews pending views. Missed last cinema showing of Bugonia on Sunday because of Frank'sApa deadline.

Just had my mind blown WIDE OPEN by the revelation that the guy who voiced Gollum in the BBC 1981 Lord Of The Rings also voiced Pigsy in the dub of Monkey Magic. Was listening to the former and thought “wow this dude sounds like Pigsy”, never did I imagine!

So if you had the cash for two of these recent Blue Note (pressings from Optimal which are generally very good) which would you take home for listening pleasure?

I accidentally got Juju last week but had it confused with Speak No Evil. Bit more Coltrane feel on Juju because reasons.

Their record with Serge Gainsbourg is one they definitely lift.

Somehow I was just old enough to have seen First Blood on VHS when it was the only entry. Also read the book from the library. Rambo felt like a real betrayal and I didn't go see it. So very much agree and interesting to be reminded of just how different it was.

I'll take your word for it. My knowledge of a lot of these UK towns is only what comes through popular media which seems to be either cool and edgy or post industrial hole. Or a bit of both.

Cheap cars have had cheap plastic dashboards for a few decades now. Our 2003 Hyundai never felt particularly premium and had a very analogue dash with plastic knobs and dials.
