No question when it puts the tying run on base for win 4 of the World Series

First, it's a Kraft Foods brand lol. Second, this guy doesn't cook, dijon mustard is a staple in a bunch of dressing, marinade, and sauce recipes--things that really enhance the flavor of cheap proteins and produce. The idea it shouldn't be EBT (because?) is idiotic.

Sorry, but Twins are dead to me, even though I can see Target Field from my window I won't even perceive its existence until the Pohlads sell the team

"In the new deal, Microsoft retains intellectual property rights to OpenAI’s models and products [...] through to 2032. This includes models that achieve so-called artificial general intelligence β€” defined as systems that outperform β€œhumans at most economically valuable work”.

Guy talks too much, you can ask them for identification and if they have a warrant, but after that it's "i'm exercising my right to remain silent and would like to speak with a lawyer." They can't be shamed or convinced, the only thing you can change by speaking to them is incriminating yourself.

Also, voters will absolutely notice the cravenness and inauthenticity of picking and choosing your stances based on popularity rather than downstream of some consistent moral philosophy and will punish you for that far more than any unpopular position.

In Minnesota, if they're on a lake, they can use lake water. They pump it from the lake and it returns with all the pesticides and fertilizers they use on their lawn. They then complain about water clarity, lake weed, and algae blooms.

Anything I like enough now to get a tattoo of there's a 50% chance I will view with contempt and embarrassment in 10 years and I've always been risk-adverse.

I'm over 30, if I sit in a coffee shop chair hunched over a laptop for more than an hour my body will start to disintegrate.

β€œAdd some columns together for people that don’t know excel language” is a lot more concrete and obtainable from a compute / training standpoint than β€œcreate the superintelligence that will lead us into a new golden age”

I mean it’s kinda apparent that Altman and some people at OpenAi view this religiously: that they’re creating a new god. MS simply isn’t that dogmatic about it, they just want to sell some 365 subs at a slightly higher price.

Agreed, AI researchers have spent the last 5 years showing that LLMs have essentially arbitrary performance when given a new task, trending to β€œreally bad” for novel tasks for which there isn’t a wealth of publicly available data or require complex problem solving or logic over very long text.

Not to mention, there are actual reasonably-sized storefronts instead of just doors every half-block into cliff faces of glass and marble. Like some of the empty spaces on nicollet are near 10,000 sq ft which is a huge ask for a small business to fund on a commercial lease timeframe.

Like 2nd Ave S north of Washington is basically always dead and it could provide an alternative path from the Washington bike lanes to the river than the bike lanes on Hennepin or 3rd Ave which are both very busy streets.

I feel like there's a ton of huge 4-lane streets downtown that don't see a ton of use that they could convert to a 2-lane or 3-lane to maintain access for buildings and turn the other half of it into a space for pedestrians / bikers.

Debt that somehow a bunch of other teams in the league that are in smaller markets, are less successful over the past half-decade, and have less attendance have miraculously avoided.

Let me guess, it has nothing to do with the fact the Pohlads loaded the team with a bunch of debt that is totally unrelated to the failing real-estate ventures of their holding corporation that also owns the Twins, and that they need to put a positive spin on gutting payroll.

Usually I'm pretty resistant to complaints about Windows and didn't really mind any of their most infamous versions like Me, Vista, or 8; but 11 is genuinely a usability and privacy disaster. The level of nagging (Microsoft Account, Teams, Copilot, Xbox, 365, OneDrive) is insane.

Also the chips themselves are only part of nvidia's advantage. They also have the software stack including CUDA, cuDNN, and NCCL. Google has equivalents for their TPUs but they've been in the game for over a decade.

Also broadcom is fabless, they compete with nvidia for the same tsmc capacity.

That would be like 2% of all power consumption in the united states and over twice what the largest nuclear power plant generates.

Really low bar considering the pohlads are probably tallying up how much the copper in target field is worth and whether they could get away with it.

This is nothing against the very talented people working on computer vision (Musk doesn't do any actual work) it's just a very difficult problem that isn't going to be solved overnight.

Human vision is like millions of years of evolution to recognize objects and animals even when occluded and predict their trajectory and intent because our survival depended on it. State of the art computer vision has difficulty recognizing a chair is still a chair if you turn it on its side.
