We almost drove up to Bakersfield because we heard there were shots available there a few weeks sooner. We ended up going to a huge LAFD drive thru operation in the Dodger Stadium parking lot

2021 - Moderna, into my arm

People were calling in favors, lying about their age, etc. to jump the line to get the shots! It was a big deal! A year of incredible scientific breakthroughs and testing and at last, relief! And I felt that same relief a couple years later when they finally approved shots for my under-5 kid!

No to any settlement with the Trump Administration
Dear President Kotlikoff,
As a proud Cornell alumnus (CALS '03) I am extremely dismayed to hear of the reported nine-figure settlement with the Trump Administration.
To put it as plainly as possible: such a settlement would be a horrible mistake, undermining Cornell's academic integrity and reputation.
Furthermore, as members of your faculty could no doubt explain in well-cited detail, this appeasement of an authoritarian regime would not resolve a thing; it merely encourages further demands to which Cornell would be expected to capitulate.

I've seen Cornell has already begun its dance with this devil, renaming its Office of Academic Diversity Initiatives. How can this institution continue to boast of its founding mission, being a place where "any person can find instruction in any study?" Steps like this make it clear to anyone that Cornell isn't for any person, or for any study. This capitulation must stop now or it will taint the University, faculty, and alumni for decades to come.
I urge you to reconsider. Be a bulwark for academic freedom and liberal education.
Sincerely,
Alex Fineman '03
