I prosecute and defend the most serious sexual offences in our courts.

The overwhelming majority of offenders are British-born. Overwhelmingly the victim is someone known to them, either a partner or relative.

Anybody purporting to care about protecting women might start there.

How to listen to BBC Radio outside the UK If you're a fan of BBC Radio 4, or BBC Radio 2, or even BBC Radio Leeds, here's how to listen

Just published: How to listen to BBC Radio overseas

And, some FAQs answered, and why they shut it down in the first place.

Most interestingly, I learn: 4.8mn people a week use BBC Sounds inside the UK. Just 320,000 people a week used BBC Sounds outside the UK.

Iโ€™m not sure โ€˜swervesโ€™ is fair - as I read it he doesnโ€™t set out to solve the incel problem for society, only to try and offer young men a more constructive and happier approach.

A few weeks back I borrowed an ebike thanks to TfGM and @cyclinguk.bsky.social, and it was amazing.

The main drawback was the bike's weight. I've since seen much lighter ebikes with lower range, and I'm wondering: does anyone ride an ebike where they only use the assist occasionally?

1 in 3 doctors were born overseas.

1 in 2 builders were born overseas.

1 in 6 nurses were born overseas.

1 in 4 transport workers were born overseas.

1 in 7 UK business founders were born overseas.

1 in 5 university academics were born overseas.

The UK would be screwed without them.

Worth remembering that a lot of disenchanted voters *aren't* attracted by Reform (or at the other end of the spectrum by Corbyn's nameless outfit). They are currently disappointed by Labour, but don't like any of the alternatives either.

Ok, but by my back-of-envelope calculation from their data the EV hits break-even on that metric too after about 40 000 km. Obviously thereโ€™ll be some time/distance below which the existing car wins on CO2 but itโ€™s less than people seem to think. And as I said in another reply, NOx kills people.

Electric cars are the cleanestโ€”and getting cleaner faster than expected - International Council on Clean Transportation A new study by the ICCT estimates that battery electric cars sold today in Europe emit nearly 4 times less greenhouse gases over their lifetime than gasoline cars.

Latest data suggests EVs โ€˜pay offโ€™ their extra manufacturing CO2 in a couple of yearsโ€™ driving. theicct.org/pr-electric-...

Iโ€™m sure the scrappage scheme was at least as much about supporting the car industry, but NOx pollution actually does kill people and newer cars do produce less.

Thereโ€™s a quirky holiday house (no road access) that you see on your left from a northbound train just before Pensarn station - we stayed there at new year and fitted in a request stop trip from Llanbedr to Llandanwg. Think the docu style worked well here for the landscape shots.

As an immigrant, disinfo like this pisses me off.

We don't move here penniless. We can't.

EVERY international student brings ยฃ150K for tuition fees & living expenses. Then we work hard to make that money back and pay taxes.

Moving countries & careers is VERY HARD and we do it and we succeed.
