That list of states isn't complete, though. (1) It doesn't have two of the most populated states, California and Texas. (2) Significant numbers of MLB & NHL players are presumably not eligible to vote in US elections. I don't know what difference that would make, but it's worth considering.

i'm totally from an upper middle class background, but something clicked when a poster well to the left of me wrote that these days, being working class just means that you earn a living via labor, and that nowadays that doesn't always mean physical or industrial labor. I think about that often.

so I live on a whole other continent, but I still have email, and so does my congressional representative, and at least on paper they and I see eye-to-eye on the big issues. It isn't patrolling with a whistle, but at least writing letters encouraging them to raise hell is doing something. Right?
