Yeah--I thought you were mixing things up and bringing in the Irish *language* as distinct from Irish *accents* in English. If I misunderstood you, then I stand down and also plead insufficient coffee.

A separate and totally valid point. There isn't just one Irish accent, and though I could happily listen all day long to most of the Irish folks I know read the phone book, I have heard some that I would struggle to find sexy.
