Couldn't agree more. No one is going to have a "nuanced conversation" about something currently being forced on them which they're being told is going to destroy their livelihood.

Yeah, an underappreciated thing about nearly all hustle culture stuff is how much of it is either (a) straight up lying, or (b) fudging. Yeah, you're "working" from 9 to 9, but a lot of that isn't *work* work. Every dude who claims to work that much somehow posts on social media 300 times a day.

You're exactly right. A whole class of people who had 95% of the world they wanted and got so high on their own supply they talked themselves into thinking that the way to get the last 5% was to grab the steering wheel and and turn towards a brick wall.

These people are incapable of understanding *anything* beyond the level of being mad at specific individuals. I'm less mad at some random person who turns up in the files more mad that it shows *how connected an entire echelon of our society was to a notorious child sex trafficker!*

It's sad to me how much I have to say to people "larger protests and smaller protests are often connected, not competing, both now and in movements throughout history." I feel like we've done a disservice to people by focusing only on the most dramatic parts of protest in our media and education.
