No—the reporter knows and we know it’s perfectly clear why they want to sabotage these missions.

Al Jazeera said four of its journalists were killed in an Israeli strike on their tent in Gaza City, citing the head of a local hospital.

Israel's military said it had targeted the journalists, calling one of them, prominent on-air talent Anas al-Sharif, a "terrorist." 💔🕊️

Again, I ask, sincerely & without trying to be overly alarmist, what anyone has seen to make them believe that the 2026/28 elections will be free, fair, democratic, & constitutional by any meaningful definitions of those words or standards of modern 🇺🇸 history.

Missouri Officials Seize Control of St. Louis Police, in Latest Bid to Shutter Local Reforms The takeover returns St. Louis to a Civil War-era arrangement of state control. A local official calls the move "a clear gesture of white men wanting to control urban areas."

Missouri adopted a law that ends St. Louis’ ability to run its own police, transferring control to the GOP-run state government. The law also requires St. Louis to commit 25% of its budget to policing.

Israel released Hamas documents purporting to show that he was a Hamas fighter.
If the documents are authentic, they show he joined Hamas in 2013, and was wounded in 2017.
There's no evidence (that I've seen) he served as active fighter in the last two years. Which means he is not a fighter.

80 years ago today, President Harry Truman made his first actual decision about using the atomic bomb, ordering an end to the bombings and creating the policy of presidential sole authority (Truman was aware of the general plans but did not officially authorize the attacks on Hiroshima or Nagasaki).

Republican Party’s policy positions can hardly be described as pro-life The test of a society’s character is how it treats those with the least power. By that measure, the Trump administration and its Republican allies are failing spectacularly.

Searing from the Las Vegas Sun:

"For decades, the Republican Party has insisted that it is the defender of innocent life. Yet after those lives draw their first breath, that supposed moral clarity collapses. In the womb, they are props in a morality play. Once born, they are costs to be contained."

This is how I thought making change worked when I was around five: if you paid more than the price, you’d get the difference back, but also if you paid less than the price you’d get paid the difference. Based on my experience since then, though, that is in fact not how it works.

A strong case here. “…it is a rational and principled choice to not use GenAI products unless and until we have determined that their benefits outweigh their costs. Radically revising and restructuring our discipline around GenAI is premature at this time…” Yes and amen 1/

According to the city, this seemingly innocuous sink hole at the corner of Bank/Nepean that developed soon after a water main repair last winter is actually a tear in the space time continuum. We currently don’t possess the tools or knowledge to fix it. Better put some cones around it. #PutAConeOnIt

The Hellfire Preacher Who Promoted Inoculation - JSTOR Daily Three hundred years ago, Cotton Mather starred in a debate about treating smallpox that tore Boston apart.

When I say that antivax terrorism isn't new, I mean it. In 1721, Massachusetts preacher and civic leader Cotton Mather got a bomb thrown through his window for his support of smallpox inoculation.

Republicans remain divided over whether it’s the heinous policies or the toxic personality that they love most about Trump. Fortunately for them, there’s no real need to choose.
