This is almost precisely how I approached my most recent album. For the most part it was written and recorded in the same order, with a little restructuring of the final arc.

Thanks for your rant on User Interface science. This is why—after teaching UI design in an Art & Design setting for years—I walked across to the computing school and co-founded an MSc in User Interface Design. “Design as a Science” was the core principle, and remains so 7 years later.
