I'm surrounded by organisations and people pushing for greater use of AI, so I'm more than happy to follow someone with your stance, to appreciate different perspectives. I'm currently teaching Y8 about what AI is, where it is used, how machine learning works etc. - I need to be careful about bias.

I shall follow Sue then to make sure that I get a more balanced view than I might currently have.

It's certainly worth a read for the additional sources. I think the title of the blog post ("The ethical case for resisting AI") is better than the line that Sue has used ("Excellent blog on why educators need to resist AI"), as it's a better fit for thinking critically about the use of AI.

Very happy so far. I haven't completed any extended periods of writing with it yet, but it writes smoothly.

I always think that I have more than enough, then a special offer email arrives or a YouTube recommendation drops... 😅

New #FountainPen received at Christmas. An Asvine P20 (medium nib, piston filler), currently filled with Diamine Noel ink. After a hard start it's writing really well. I really like how the light reflects off the blue and green body.

Some form of practical project. Perhaps in the style of HPQ/EPQ. This could enable students to harness their passion and deepen understanding of an area of interest. As for a topic area, maybe IoT.

Thanks - I looked at using PA to automate the synchronisation of forms data to the linked spreadsheet, but it wasn't possible. SharePoint lists would work if an exact match to an answer, but would need to see if it can handle marking of written responses (I don't how that would work).

I've been working on trying to utilise MS Forms and the new(ish) sync to excel workbook feature. The aim was to sync data to a master spreadsheet, but two main issues. 1, incredibly slow. 2, does not sync updated scores after marking questions in forms. Still looking for a better solution.

Eagerly awaiting this #3Dprint to finish of a 'Gyroid pen holder'. The material is Matte Green PLA. I can see that there will be a little cleanup work needed, but I did opt for no supports!

Yeah that part is for feeds you've created, I think. The feeds you follow are on the home screen next to discover and following (if the feed was pinned).

In the app on the homepage tap the 3 lines then you will see feeds. Pinned feeds can be selected from your home screen and other feeds you follow you have to dig deeper for.

I've created a feed to collect UK-based education blog posts.
If you publish a post here, tag it with #EduBlogUK and it'll appear in the feed.
