Just a little reminder to everyone that, in a time of surveillance and early fascism, 100 strategically placed small protests are much much harder to suppress and disrupt and turn into a talking point, than one big impressive march.

A couple of beautiful features of trolley buses: mmmm, lack of diesel fumes, yes, but also the sounds and slightly different rhythms. The light rattle and whine, the clack of switching cables, is much more interesting and comforting than the rumble and growl of diesel.

I'm sure the economics are interesting and fairly specific to different situations. Carry heavy batteries vs use infrastructure? The wire and trolley arm system is kind of primitive, but maybe cheap and otherwise reliable? Not as safe, one would think.

When I lived in Vancouver I enjoyed how bus drivers would sometimes have to jump out and wrangle the trolley connectors back onto their wires. Entertaining and slightly badass but I’m sure they didn't enjoy it as much.

I have had a Fenix E12 in my pocket at all times for the last eight years or so. I feel naked without it, but live in rural exurbia. I use it at work and home multiple times per day. One AA, easy to use, good balance of bright and longevity, tough, not bulky.
