The weird thing for me is thinking about base housing as somehow immune to protest. The only thing stopping protests on base is good manners. It’s not like a metric fuckton of 100% disabled vets and retirees don’t have base access to- and that’s leaving out the military kids+ spouses.

They’re pushing this fantasy about these being “Democrat programs” used only in blue states but that’s a PR fantasy divorced from reality.
