Not that I don't like cooking but scary how quickly you get accustomed to not having to cook. We were in London last week and had hotel breakfast, lunch and dinner out, and I can't believe I got used to it over such short time.

Finns seem to me, just a bit too easily, reduce the breadth of expressions of Finnish culture into just kind of ironic, gritty realism. Like examples in video games are like My Summer Car, Finnish Cottage Simulator, Last Drop etc. But it extends outside video games too, particularly in discussions.

I liked the politeness in the UK. I greeted and thanked the Finnish border guards and they looked at me like I had three heads :(

I believe this is true of most subjects. PE, history, art, you name it. Instead of inspiring students to explore a subject and expand their abilities, we immediately grade them, putting students into categories of ‘good’, ‘mediocre’ and ‘crap’. That sticks. And it stifles. Often for life.

I think one of the most persistent social lies we are all taught is that evil, unshackled by the need to be moral, is better at things. This in spite of the fact that every time evil is tried on a societal level, it fails. It makes everything worse, not just what it wants to make worse.

Do I dare to hope it's about a job? I got an email last week from a job in my field I applied to that they'd contact people soon either by phone or by email. In this abysmal job market situation (we have the highest unemployment in the EU) it'd be godsent to get a job this soon after graduation 😭

Can't call back because it gets instantly declined, number search finds no results, and a lot of people have in the past checked up the number (but no one has marked it as scam or spam). So I am just sitting by my phone hoping they'd call me again same time they had tried to yesterday.

A missed phone call from a number I don't know is driving me crazy. I know it is neither a scam nor a spam caller, because those get flagged very fast. It's not healthcare related, because those come from hidden callers and it's not judicial because those are public. Is it abt JOB I applied to??? 😭😭

For real, issues like that can affect younger people too and well before menopausal age. Yet it's a huge blind-spot in medical treatment. I even know personally cis people who struggled for better part of a decade to get treatment just because they are/were young. I wish it was better for everyone.

I'm so terrified of heights but somehow not terrified of flying 😅 I actually like planes 🛫

But it goes to show the multilayered importance hormone treatment has on trans people, because everything else aside you just don't _feel_ right. You just don't feel right in your body and this time I don't even mean the dysphoric dissonance between who you are and how your body is.
