I also have advice. Everybody loves reading advice on the computer, so I'll share it: the best thing you can do right now is log off as hard as you can. Go outside, talk to people in real life where it's actually kind of rude to talk about the news, try to actually see the friends you usually just text message. Go for a long drive and turn the phone off while you do it. Get back into your hobbies or pick one and learn it for a while. Watch one of those studio movies that reviews called "wildly miscalculated" and you haven't seen since high school. Play an album you like but find embarrassing. Go to free community events even if they sound stupid. If you take the freeway, try the surface streets. Go to a bad diner and just order some bad coffee because even bad coffee is good coffee.
You can't help anybody when you're exhausted and keep posting one million college-educated rewordings of "I would love to be dead right now" on the computer. Walk away from the thing and try out some of those normal things you hear about and if you get bored that's wonderful because we're not supposed to get bored anymore. It turns out boredom is the Cadillac of feelings.

CHOTINER: So your son is 14, is that right?

IKARI: It's complex, Isaac. Ifβ€”

CHOTINER: And the β€œrobot” he pilots, that’s actually the child of an alien you keep crucified in the basement, which is possessed by the spirit of his dead mother?

IKARI: Look, let me answer the question.

CHOTINER: Sure.

Ezra Klein liked and admired Charlie Kirk, who hated my trans child, so I'm going to view this as a display of true Ezra's character. You can apply this to every single centrist/liberal pundit or publication celebrating him. Got it. Message received.

The actual clip is even worse than this makes it sound, amazingly - framing a β€œglobal rise in antisemitic hate crime” as totally incontrovertible but the genocide itself as open to debate, and implying that the former somehow justifies the latter position

A β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜… review of Tamala 2010: A Punk Cat in Space (2002) A truly one-of-a-kind animated film that could only have been made in 2002, combining Flash-quality black-and-white 2D animation and insipidly, generically cute anthropomorphic character designs with ...

I wasn’t sure quite what to expect when I saw that this was streaming on Criterion Channel, but it ended up being *extremely* my shit and any fan of weird, avant-garde animated films should check it out boxd.it/aDutDn

Anyway: a good case study in why not to trust liberal Zionists who claim to have had a change of heart on the genocide question without actually taking accountability for their prior positions

Look, you can say a lot about Hogan's legacy: he was racist, he was terrible to his colleagues, he put himself above other people, he firmly believed in the supremacy of white people, he was a bad wrestler, his life was a net negative for society.

That's it. That's the post.

Gaza is starving. Where are the American Jewish leaders? A fear of being labelled antisemitic still deters American Jews and Jewish institutions from taking a position that is morally correct.

I see that Rabbi Jill Jacobs of T'ruah is finally starting to criticize the complicity of her fellow Zionists, nearly 2 years into a genocide in which she's consistently equivocated, punched left, and gone out of her way to seek out coalitions with genocide supporters forward.com/opinion/7575...

If you don’t like being criticized for explicitly supporting β€œdefensive” weapons to a state you admit is carrying out a genocide, maybe don’t support that?
