Another series of Short Treks, but it's just a series of post credit scenes for each of the movies, that sets up the next film.

What is your Star Trek project that only you would love?

Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Animated Series. Fully in the Filmation style. "We are the Borg. You will be Animated"

I suppose inevitable that the two main 'Star' franchises should compete for a share of the streaming pie! Take the Kurtzman era as a whole, generally it's good stuff, exploring a range of topics, in a variety of styles, doesn't shy away from social issues, & has high production value.

I think it does need to be fresh. Society hasn't stayed still for 60 years and niether should Star Trek. The best things that modern Trek has done is embrace diversity and fill the cast with every kind of person. We need that

It wasn't too much, it just wasn't very well thought out. I rather lost faith in DSC after S2. and aside from a few stand alone bits, and the broad S4. plot, I thought it never really lived up to it's potential

I would like to see the Star Trek universe expand in lots of different directions! I can't say it's been balnd though, recent series have been in all styles, various timelines and experimenting with genre - it's huge!

I assumed this would be the plot of Picard S1. And I was really looking forward to it!

Jayne Brook as Admiral Katrina Cornwell injured aboard the Klingon Sarcophagus ship.

With Admiral Cornwell initially intended to be killed off in an earlier episode, Brook was gratified by fan response to her character's survival: "I'm delighted that people like the character enough that they're like, 'She's not really dead! We don't want her dead!' So, that's great. It's fun to play with ideas of what might happen."

Mary Chieffo as L'Rell imprisoned aboard the USS Discovery.

Chieffo said her classical theater training prepared her to take on a role buried under transformative makeup: "I felt well suited for the idea of it. My training at Julliard was a very movement-based program, and a very voice and speech-based program, so we do a lot of mask work. There is a distinction between a prosthetic and a mask, which I also learned last year. But in that vein of seeing oneself as a different creature, seeing a different face and kind of letting your physical self manifest as a result of what youโ€™re seeing โ€” on the first camera test day, I looked in the mirror, and I was not myself. So I really leaned on what, visually, I was learning about the character.โ€

Kenneth Mitchell as Kol aboard the Klingon Ship of the Dead.

Mitchell discussed his transformation into Kol through the character's distinct look: "The costume is heavy and it's hot and the prosthetics are heavy and hot, but I've always been an actor that works from the inside out and the outside in. These costumes and prosthetics, when you put them on, they're like layers of your character, and the more you put on the more you start feeling like your character. Then you add in the language, this very visceral and guttural language, and it just lends itself so much to my character, being a kind of aggressive Klingon. I find the language itself is a little bit aggressive and Iโ€™ve found when I am speaking it, I kind of start moving my body a bit and using my arms and moving my neck a bit. All these layers added on to helping me create my character."
