Geologists!! I found this down the beach- any ideas what it is? Some sort of mineral/ metal deposit, shape is weird- like a leaf!

From the aqa geography a level textbook by Oxford- carbon cycle section. I know the students will ask me why were volcanoes more active back then- they just were? Or is this unknown? An assumption? False?

Hi, I’ve a yr12 geog lesson tomorrow (first time teaching it), in preparation I read the text book and it said that during the Palaeozoic era volcanic activity was more frequent - why? I have googled it of course- I couldn’t find anything definitive. #geography #teaching #a-levels #aqa #volcano
