People still have to eat and pay rent and everything else. You say complaining on the internet does nothing but that you’re helping Americans by complaining on the internet. People here are fragmented and in shock and don’t know what to do while still surviving. Try to understand. We hate this.

Food insecurity is ALWAYS a political choice. Famine is ALWAYS manmade. People go hungry because of other people’s decisions. We have more than enough food for everyone, and enormous amounts of it are wasted—literally thrown in the garbage—on purpose.

You listened to his side as he told it the last few days to save his campaign but you are disregarding his past internet comments that disprove his claims of ignorance. Maybe he isn’t a full blown nazi, I don’t know, but he doesn’t deserve to be a United States senator. He’s shown terrible judgment.

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?

For people talking about a lack of concrete demands from today’s protest, what I heard out there was:

1. Abolish ICE
2. Release the Files
3. Impeach the Motherfucker

Will the press ever ask these people to explain the logistics of paying all these protestors and figure out how there could be no paper trail for millions of payments? 🤔

There was someone who ran on that message for his party’s nomination for president twice in the last decade. I don’t remember his endorsement however.

Both sides of a conflict are calling each other evil and corrupt, rendering me, a humble journalist, helpless to discern the truth. Best I can do is let you know that both sides are in fact saying those things. Hope this helps

Single parent mode is rough

It works for me keeping mine by my desk. I can get started drawing more easily if I tell myself it will probably be shredded anyway, and I’m not able to scare myself by saying “What if someone comes across this mediocre drawing and forms an opinion about me”. In the end I usually don’t shred it. 🤷‍♂️

I bought a paper shredder to get myself to draw more.

The news media needs to start using experts on authoritarianism and pre-WWII history as pundits on stories about the current administration. This is not a joke - just a boring good idea. The rapid shift to fascism needs to be put in context by people who know, not podcasters and politicians.

Except Tom and Jerry was painstakingly painted frame by frame.
