Trying to make the next Bebop or FLCL creates too many expectations. If your strength is comedy then lean into it. Actually Invincible Fight girl is a good example. It looks like an action show but isn't taking it too seriously. And you can always go more for drama later like Scissor 7.

i think something for new artists to keep in mind is that you're comparing your output to the output of the aggregate of all of the artwork you see. put another way, it can feel like you aren't doing enough because you see like a hundred new drawings a day, often made by a hundred different artists.
