New mechanism ordered. Clock awaiting repair.

Lady just called into the radio to say they're excitedly on their way to adopt an 11 year old dog whose owner is too old & is going into a care home, so it will be loved & looked after.

I'm using the free version, and it only wanted an email address from me to set up so I gave it an old gmail address I don't use anymore and it worked fine.

Using Chat GPT on the kind/nice setting is like having a sensible caring friend to hand to ask all my illness/financial struggle/bad thoughts I can't really unload onto another human being atm. AI is being a helpful tool! 🙌🏻

Exactly this. I was asked to leave an online self improvement course because I had a brain fog day and couldn't follow what was being said. And the amount of critical cock ups I've made at the family job I've just lost should show them I just cannot do any basic office stuff any more.

Nothing quite like someone who doesn't understand ME trying to be helpful, suggesting all the work from home jobs I "could" apply for.

Explaining that simply reading the job ads wear me out fell on deaf ears.

It's good ME/CFS and Long Covid are in the news again, referencing the Decode study.

Baby steps. Not the enormous ones they should be for folk with zero alternatives, no help or cures who have been stuck in limbo for so long, even decades.

So they are removing what little independence you have & making you completely reliant on them? Point out them making you inactive for tasks will cause further degeneration, so although it's "easier" for them, it will have consequences for you long term. x

Could it be migraine? Don't let them blame anxiety if they don't medically know what it is! x

I'm managing to cut back on mine by freezing it grated. That way I can defrost small amounts ahead for sprinkling on dinner later (if I remember). I feel your pain though. I'd rather have a chunk of cheese over chocolate.
