The growth becomes its own virtue. It’s a constraining if practical tool to star rate photos, but in my Lightroom i’ve got 34k photos. 2⭐️ is usable for me, 3⭐️ i’m happy to have, 4⭐️ i’m really proud of. Looking forward to making some fives. Even more to my first zine, and maybe someday a book.

I started photography a year and a half ago out of an acute need to create again and be moving out in the world. Sharing on the gram is mostly an exercise in playing with sequencing, but the practice—spending all sunday out somewhere in far Queens just to see—improved my life in unexpected ways.
