It's the start of #birdtober2025 - I fell down a rabbit hole of exploring differences between the four extant species of banded penguins and ended up with this graphic as the end product! At first these birds seem so similar but illustrating them is a great way to notice all the small differences!

Week 3: Spawning, rift, trawl, cenote, depths, glacial, reef. Week 4: Fellowship, scouting, numbered, tireless, forage, bounded, harvest. Week 5: Foresight, dream. The event is hosted by LizLagomorph and LucyGemArt.

I love that this project lets me make and share things with friends every year, so it’s extra exciting to co-host this year’s #SciArtSeptember with my friend Lucy, who illustrated this week’s banner. 🌟

South stack, ynys mon, never disappoints. This Saturday, the cliffs were full of razorbills and guillemots, watched over by a peregrine. The short eared owl was a lovely bonus. My drawings will have to make up for the lack of photos

Delighted to have dropped this off at the mid wales arts centre, where it will be on display from the 24th of March. #curlew

This illustration is so special to me as my first commission and now my first gallery piece! And for it all to go towards supporting Curlews in Wales is absolutely incredible

So excited to share that this illustration will be featured an upcoming exhibition 'Plight of the Curlews' hosted by Mid Wales Arts Centre.
