Bristol Clean Air Zone: Councillors vote against fee hike Plans to raise the Clean Air Zone charge from Β£9 to Β£14 a day have been blocked.

We stopped the Green Party's plans to hike the Clean Air Zone charge to Β£14 a day

To improve air quality, the council needs to boost public transport and phase out its own polluting vehicles - not tax working people to fund new Residents Parking Zones

What we see online doesn’t stay online.

Violent pornography is putting young people in danger - that’s why we’re banning it.

The Tories oversaw the near collapse of the criminal justice system which effectively decriminalised rape, they have nothing to say to rape victims & survivors who are being repeatedly failed so blame foreign perps, even when the perps are British, & ignoring how rape is about violent men not race.

In the past few weeks, Bristol has seen a nine-year-old racially abused and shot with an air rifle in Brentry, a racist attack on two men in Lawrence Hill, and Islamophobic graffiti on a bus stop in Bedminster.

These attacks on members of Bristol’s communities are abhorrent and need to end. The cowardly actions of a small number of racists are leaving our neighbours anxious in their own city. Every one of the thugs behind these incidents needs to be brought to justice.

Bristol is, and always will be, a proud, diverse place where all our communities stand with each other. We will call out the appalling actions of the few in our city who seek to cause division and harm.

Racism will never be tolerated.

We're backing Bristol's Bus Drivers

First Group made Β£204.3m in profit last year. Shareholder dividends were up by 45%. Yet, bus drivers have been forced to take industrial action to get the pay rise they deserve.

The main sticking point in negotiations is First Group’s refusal to back date their drivers’ pay rise in full. Backdating it would cost around 0.15% of First Groups’s yearly profits. Doing so is clearly affordable and reasonable.

Without our bus drivers, Bristol would grind to a halt.

These strikes are causing severe disruption to Bristol’s workers. Senior management need to get back to the negotiating table with Unite and give our bus drivers the wages they have earned.

Two in five arrested for last summer’s UK riots had been reported for domestic abuse Police data indicates overlaps between public violent disorder and domestic violence and abuse

This data is shocking but sadly unsurprising to those of us who work in the VAWG sector. The links between different forms of male violence is well-established. www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

Shocking but not surprising how once again, it’s the victims of horrific male violence that are ignored, forgotten about, and silenced.

In all this row, has anyone bothered to remember that Epstein raped and trafficked dozens of girls?

It’s like the girls never mattered at all.
