Some advice on activism and feeling less helpless:

You probably cannot make a big change by yourself. That's okay. Find a thing you can do--either joining an existing thing or starting something small that you can sustain with resources you have--and start there.

I have a little plea and it's this: please keep posting about things that aren't The Horrors. I am not saying to not look at or be informed about The Horrors. What I am saying—what I am genuinely kind of begging you to do—is keep posting about books and movies and sunsets and pets and joy. Please.

I am saying, find a thing to do that will put a little more hope in the world, however small.

I dunno, sometimes I feel like I’m never gonna become an oligarch 😔

Thinking about tomorrow and one thing I'm going to do (obviously, you do you) is spend the day fueling myself with creative pursuits. Creating things that I enjoy, rather than staring at something I hate.
