First time tonight in about 20 years that I've seen John Hegley live and delighted to report he's still as great as ever.

After the gig, I got chucked out for pervery. It wasn't. I was falsely accused and sometime I'll explain why, but it had everything to do with the late Bill Hicks.

...and got a beautiful dedication in his autobiography to boot.

New HAAi album Humanise is excellent. Balances kooky electronica and banging techno at just the right level, with more distinct and emotional vocals than her last LP. Ta. It was five years ago now, and she had Alzheimer's for the last 10y of her life, so the end, when it came, was frankly a blessed relief. Been good to finish restoring some of her old 'toons though. I still have quite few more in the loft!

After her passing, I uncovered quite a few more of her #cartoons, although some were in a very poor state. I have been trying to restore some of them. One such is the cartoon frieze that follows here, drawn in 1953 for a party she and her flatmates held shortly after she'd met my Dad...

Similarly, my Dad had a copy of Simon & Garfunkel's soundtrack to "The Graduate" which has completely disappeared from the stash of vinyl I rescued from his house.

My mum could knock a decent version of The Entertainer out on the piano, too, which she learnt after seeing the movie.
