I remember hearing a radio interview of Suzanne Somers and the interviewer asked "have you thought about getting back into acting?" while she was on her fifth or sixth season of totally forgotten sitcom Step by Step! There are shows that just exist through sheer momentum!

It's also kind of why so often shows set in offices or at jobs have a "it's just like high school" vibe, because that's the last time the writers really dealt with large groups of regular people.
