Anecdotally: I highly suggest listening to it on a Sansui receiver, with decent speakers. The soundstage on a Sansui really compliments the way the album is mixed. And ya, turn that dial up to 11!

Ultimately asking the question: where do we find the spirit and spirited people to make our societies and culture whole and strong? It's the more cynical side of Closer to the Heart, interrogating the question more deeply and with a more despairing inquiry.

Incredible thread. I would add: The title track A Farewell To Kings is incredibly relevant to our current time, far more so than when it was written. It's incredible ear splitting hard rock, with mind splitting lyrics.
