How do we not see the police as complicit with, interchangeable with, the enemy?

I’m so sorry. That loss of smell and taste is definitely a brain damage thing although it’s rarely framed as such. (A neurologist told me this).

Denial is a very powerful coping strategy but it’s not going to help.
This isn’t good news, but there is no point ignoring it.
It’s the police response that is so horrifying. That poor woman. Actually, all those poor women.
25.11.2025 02:37 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0So many people are wondering if behaviour and attitudes really are getting worse. Yes. Yes they are.
And this is why.
EVERYONE WHO HAS HAD COVID HAS BRAIN DAMAGE.
Reduced empathy, disinhibition, poor decision making, less analytical thinking.
The world is worse because people are losing humanity
My god, that is beyond appalling. 💔
25.11.2025 02:26 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0So glad about the masking but the rest is pretty crappy. Hope it goes well 💜

25.11.2025 01:54 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Somehow I knew that would be the answer. It’s so disappointing that health professionals don’t stay up to date with the research.
Solidarity! 😷
Adorable!

Gotta love a nerd!
Not that I remember but it was 25 years ago.
What I heard most was “ but you don’t live here with them”. Ugh.
A very very double pale rose, creamy white on the outside shading to palest pink at the centre.
Our white Pierre de Ronsard has finally got its first flower after three years. I am OBSESSED with its delicate shading of colour. Swoon.

Yes indeed, they do have history of engagement with First Nations people. And it’s an ugly racist history.
I spent a week in 2000 trying to teach inclusion and cultural sensitivity to NT Centrelink staff (all white). Not a good experience for me or them I think.
Congratulations. 🎉
23.11.2025 22:02 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I’m so sorry. This is just awful and I’m in awe of your ability to write in such a sensible measured way about it.
I am FURIOUS on your behalf. It really seems like there is no hope. 💔

23.11.2025 19:14 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I replied to him, asking him to expand on his interest in women’s sport and name a woman athlete.
He blocked me in about three seconds.
They are always SO fragile 😂😂
The Cass report is rubbish as others here have said.
But I’m fascinated by your interest in women’s sport. What women’s sport do you follow? Boxing? Running? Name me a woman athlete without googling.
And then explain to me how hormones affect human bodies.
I’ll wait.
That’s a great idea but there is a huge attitude shift required here before we even get to that. 💔

23.11.2025 03:58 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0So interesting that it’s “old” people saying no when it’s the toddlers who will be paying for it their whole lives. Will they think football is so important then?
Don’t answer that. Of course they will. You can’t teach people who don’t want to learn. Sigh.

Finally finding a GP who isn’t fat-hating has changed how I feel about medicine and treatment. But I was almost 60 years old before I found her!
Our first consult she said “ you’re never going to be thin and that’s just fine”. I wrote it down, I was so moved. 🩷💜

23.11.2025 01:42 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Well I’ve lived though a lot of history - does that make me an historian or just historic? 🤣🤣
23.11.2025 01:40 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0As long as the victims are women or children the law is not interested in the perpetrators. They are interested in holding the victims responsible.
As soon as (white) men are victims, laws can be enacted in minutes. Remember the Sydney one punch laws?
Thank you for sparing me that unpleasant task!
