1992, finished my A-Levels and went InterRailing around Europe. It was a life changing trip. On ferry from Brindisi to Patras I got chatting to some young American guys. They had just finished this book, and gave it to me. 4 of us read it on the 56hr journey home, if you put it down, you lost it!
