Trump being a jackass in the Oval re: Schumer. Members of congress intentionally misgendering a peer. My IRA losing a shit ton of money. Cost of groceries. The risk to people with disabilities with cuts to Medicaid, Social Security and Dept of Education/OCR offices closed. Are we great again yet?

If the tables were turned and Harris had won, and then brought in Bill Gates and they did the exact same things this administration has done today *alone* the Republicans would have already filed articles of Impeachment. But no one will do anything, and it will just continue to get worse.

Now I just simmer with mid-level anxiety worried about my brother, worried about my retirement savings, worried about the future... I don't even necessarily disagree that government spending is something that should be audited and reviewed, but this is out of control.

I need to not doom scroll and rage skeet (what are we calling posts here? IDK) all night but GOD I'm somehow both furious and exhausted. I feel impotent. I did my part to keep this from happening and people I thought were smarter than they are (including some I love) wouldn't listen.

He relies on Medicaid and what he gets from Social Security. I'm terrified for him and angry for the rest of us.

My Federal Rep is a Democrat. How do I figure out who to call and talk to about how unacceptable all of the shit happening right now now is?

It was an honor to sign the guest book in the home of Anne Frank.

I was here as a younger man and thought about her life as a dark chapter of history.

Today, I can’t help but think of her story as one of caution. Our world is fragile, and it’s incumbent on us not to break it.

Maybe using AI to scour people's job descriptions and reports looking for keywords like "women" "diversity" "of color" and whatever other racist/sexist search terms they're using to make their decisions isn't a great path forward to be "great again" or whatever....

Project 2025 was unpopular because of things like the plan for Trump to shut down the CFPB, which helps you get your money back if a bank cheats you.

I hate that this is happening, but I can't wait until the middle class/lower-middle class Trump voters find out WTF they actually voted for and that their savior doesn't give even half a shit about them.

The amount of doom available to scroll is terrifying, heartbreaking and absolutely infuriating. I just want the outside world to know that there are a LOT of us out here who feel like I do so even though it seems like "America" is fine with all of this - I assure you it's not all of us.

International friends: When you rage against the assholes who did this to America, please remember a giant portion of our population is angry and in mourning, too.

All over the bird site MAGA types are pointing to the fear and concern re: Medicaid (which my brother relies on) as "media lies." MAYBE, and call me crazy, if the administration had been more clear on what their cuts impacted people wouldn't be in a panic? I hate this timeline.

Thanks to standing up for what's right. But my fear is if all the good guys stand up to tyranny and walk away, then we have state run media even worse than what Fox already is.
