In California, an employer cannot prohibit an employee from engaging in political activity during non-work hours, or coerce them to do so.

In California, employees must be permitted to accrue up to five paid sick days. Sick leave may be taken for a multitude of reasons, and an employer cannot require a medical note unless the employee is out for 3 days or more.

This is beautiful. It is clearly saying "I don't believe you, go back and rethink your answer because it is unsupported."

This is truly shocking. Not DHS saying: "oh, your order didn't apply to this other department" BUT that they are ADMITTING using the US military for a civilian law enforcement action on US soil. They transferred custody of civilians to the military and flew them out of the country.

This is disgusting.

In California, an employer must reimburse an employee for reasonable business expenses incurred in furtherance of their employment duties.

Sounds like wilful disobedience to a supreme Court order.

This is basically extortionist conduct.

So if they *can't* return him, because the US sold him under contract to a prison for labor in El Salvador and now doesn't have the ability/authority to make El Salvador return him...this is basically the US engaging in the international slave trade. Or did I miss something?

This memo is a threatened attack on the people protecting the rule of law.

In California, an employer must record all hours worked for non-exempt employees. This means that even if off the clock work is paid in some form, the failure to accurately record the employee's hours worked can lead to penalties.

Out sourcing prison/forced labor camps, specifically sans due process and against a court order, not a good look for a country founded on "freedoms"

In California, an employer must provide sick leave accrual at a rate of at least one hour per 30 hours worked for an employee who has worked over 30 days with that employer.

Relying on "should" seems a little too optimistic at this point.
