I see @zoedaniel.bsky.social has finally conceded defeat in Goldstein but she will recontest at the next election - it is candidates and politicians like her that makes us better people and a better country.

She is hypocritical in using generalised baseless tropes and false stereotypes to push fallacies and myths. Her actions and the actions of her company are akin to child abuse for the impact they will have on future generations.

I hope everyone who reads Woodside CEO Meg O'Neill's arrogant, self-serving proclamations takes a bloody good look at what Woodside are doing & tell Labor to reject Woodside's North West Shelf Extension & companion Browse-to-North-West-Shelf gas project

What did you do during the genocide in Gaza? | Arwa Mahdawi When future generations read about Gaza with horror and wonder how we allowed a livestreamed genocide to happen, what will you say?

As Martin Luther King Jr said: “In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”

I will never regret times I have spoken up. If you haven't already, please find your voice.

How the fuck do we live in a country where Malcolm Turnbull’s Liberal-NATIONAL Party completely fucked up the NBN yet now that very same National Party are whining about a lack of internet connectivity in the bush?

Last week I was honoured to be part of a truly historic event.

Clans of the Roper River convened to form a new governing entity for this magnificent waterway, under threat from fracking and industrial agriculture.

The day author Ren Wyld was due to receive the Black & Write $15k Indigenous fellowship she was told it had been rescinded. A journo from the Oz seemed to know before she did. Appalling to see QLD govt cave to Murdoch press to punish a First Nations writer for speaking out in support of Palestine.

Third, the complex issues surrounding the rock art of the Murujuga region, especially the Burrup peninsula. The art is unique, and abundant, and important to the Aboriginal people. All the Woodside people I have surveyed agree that preservation of the art should be enough to stop the developments.

Orchid you not: Australia is home to around 1900 species of wild orchids, and there are over 400 species in Victoria. This region is one of the richest in the world for its diversity of temperate terrestrial orchids.

For others who may not be aware of how eyerolly this can get - the farm is purchased by an SMSF from a holding company, using loans from a family trust, leased out to a secondary company, employing the very farmers that own the holding company, the SMSF, the family trust and the secondary company.

Protect Murujuga Rock Art: Sign the Petition One of Australia and the world’s most important artworks is being destroyed by acid gas pollution. The Murujuga rock art on the Burrup Peninsula in Western Australia is a cultural treasure – and more...

The costs. Destroys our historic art. Will release over 4 billion tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere. Sells 90% of its gas overseas, driving up local power prices. Locks Aust into a destructive agreement for the next 50 years.

How absurd are complaints against the super changes?

Consider if someone's super goes up from $3m to $3,250,000.
So they earned $250,000 in a year.

Oh no! Their balance is over $3m. They now have a tax liability.
How much? $2,884.
That is how much income tax someone pays if they earn... $36,300.

Historical Context: Palestine Under Ottoman Rule, Britain’s Tripartite Promises and the Subsequent Nakba A peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict can only be achieved with the acknowledgement of history, including the Nakba.

The Nakba resulted in the displacement of approximately 750,000 Palestinians, many of whom sought refuge in neighbouring countries or within Palestine itself. The cultural and historical loss was profound, with many villages destroyed and erased from memory

Selling super tax changes will require a steadfast advocacy from decades past The reforms of the 80s and 90s, often sentimentalised by people who weren't there, came about through a mixture of policy intelligence and political rat cunning.

‘The intergenerational inequity involved in the largesse handed out by John Howard and Peter Costello to older Australians, on the back of the country's biggest ever resources boom, has only really started to become clear in the past few years’ #auspol
