I don't think it was resolved well at all, but characters can have more than one arc. Luke had an arc in the original trilogy, so was it wrong to include him in the sequels? For that matter, he had an arc in A New Hope. That doesn't mean including him in Empire Strikes Back was a mistake.

I get the sentiment here, but the thing to consider is that of the two options, Kylo Ren is a character, with traits, an interesting backstory, and an arc that goes somewhere. John Boyega got robbed and did his best with deeply shitty writing, but Finn is simply not as interesting.

If his purpose is to improve or restore the party, he's doing it in a way that pisses off the leadership, which is a very important distinction that this person seems to be ignoring. We also shouldn't be looking to electoralism to achieve socialism in the first place.

I haven't seen it here much since I don't directly engage with a lot of liberal accounts. I've seen it all over tiktok. I get 4 or 5 accounts a day shit talking leftists for refusing Newsom and claiming things like "he's the only one standing up to Trump."

Plenty of people are acting like he's already the only possible candidate, and whining that leftists are going to throw the election again. If you want someone to join your coalition, you need to make concessions. Now is not the time to dig your heels in for a Trump lite. Now is the time to listen.
