Trea said it perfectly last night - dodgers are doing all the little things, Phillies are not. Phillies execute this series and it’s totally different. I don’t feel like they’re beating themselves like last year, they just aren’t getting it done.

It’s frustrating because truly the bottom of the lineup has been good this series against elite elite starting pitching

I also kinda have to give the dodgers credit. We’ve shut down their superstars, but they’ve done the same. This series is not uncompetitive by any means. A few inches here and there and it’s tied or the Phillies are 2-0.

Tbf, before last year, the dodgers had like a zillion postseason appearances and were viewed as generational chokers getting bounced in the DS every year. Just gotta continually punch your ticket and hope you get hot.

I don’t disagree with you; I was at G4 in the 2022 NLCS when they went down 4-0, but I think the difference is people felt like they weren’t going to lose. I’m not saying agree with the crowds anxiousness either, but the players have a role too. Kinda like a chicken or the egg situation.

I was there in the 300s and the crowd was incredible through the first 5ish innings. At some point, it has to be on the players to perform because the crowd is rightfully anxious when they don’t.

Phillies rotation is more bulletproof IMO, though still question marks at times. I am very sick of people freaking out that people are picking the Phils to win it all. This is a great team, comes with the territory.
