Celebrated my daughter’s 1st birthday with a traditional Chinese Zhuazhou “grabbing ceremony” and some French food and wine for me and Momma. And since baby’s birthday is January 6, also the traditional day to start eating galette des rois (king cake), that’s her birthday cake! :D

I remember when he first came down from NorCal to make the rounds sucking up to us Hollywood folk - little fish like me; big ones like Lawrence Bender, Ariana Huffington, Mike Medavoy, etc - at Hollywood Hill events. When he still drove a 911, announced he’d bought Tesla. When we was cool. A shame.

This is one part narrative short film, one part music video for a song I wrote. It’s part of a sales package for the feature of the same name. Had a wonderful cast, great crew, and the best time coming back to my hometown to direct something 25 years after I moved to LA (then Beijing, & now Paris).
