What amuses me about articles like this that use terms like “grannycore” is the failure to recognize that older women who knit were, back in the day, younger women who knit.

I’ve discovered that the advantage of having finished a 1600 yd. project over a few months is that I can look at a WIP that needs just one 200 yd. ball of yarn to finish it and think “easy-peasy”.

There’s a guy from reality tv running NASA *and* Transportation, a podcaster is deputy FBI director, a tv co-host runs Defense, and the guy who did a cameo on Home Alone 2 is president. If you tried to sell this as a movie plot in 2010 people would expect a comedy, not drama.

Everything about 2025 feels like a crappy low-budget movie.
