I am begging New York to do just half of what California has done. I don’t know why the legislature isnt trying to make big moves to fix the housing problem across the state (and our fading political power). Hochul seems like one of the few who realizes the urgency of the issue

Albany seems content to watch New Yorks political power fade away. Theyve made some small improvements but nothing even close to the impact of SB79. We need some lawmakers to step up

The fact that CBP was dispatched to menace a press conference by the duly elected governor of California should really put to bed any argument about whether these federal deployments are a response to crime rates. As if it weren't already obvious what this is about.

Nice article. Frankly I’d love to abolish a lot of local governments entirely in favor of more regional governments . So many redundancies within metros and Im sure its quite tax inefficient. A lot of it is unnecessary
