Like the Tories, the Labour government is trying to drive down the number of people who qualify for disability benefits by insisting there has been an epidemic of β€œoverdiagnosis”: a favourite theme of the BBC and the junktanks of Tufton Street. Never mind the science: what outcome do we want?

British politics is basically a doom spiral of increasingly unhinged hostile policies.

Reform says something unhinged
⬇️
Labour counters with their own unhinged policy
⬇️
Tories shout from back they'll be even more unhinged
⬇️
Reform announces different unhinged proposal in response
⬇️
And repeat...πŸ”

An ad on TikTok. A woman is holding a blanket up for sale. It shows Shrek with a Hitler haircut and moustache above the text "Mein Swampf". Above the ad it says "cool gift".

Labour has cancelled my Conference Pass.
Absolutely pathetic, Trumpian behaviour.
They are here suggesting that attempts to question Cabinet members and MPs about Britain facilitating Israel's genocide is a
"safeguarding issue".
This is clearly insane.

These people couldn’t have been more clear that they think not liking them is radicalisation; being angry with them for things they’ve done and said is extremism; asking them unwelcome questions is bullying and harassment, and raising your voice at them is criminal assault.

At least 50,000 disabled people could lose access to financial employment support if the government goes ahead with plans to scrap the WCA benefit assessment, according to a new report from Citizens Advice

I mean sure, but all of this stuff came out in graphic detail five years ago and nobody wanted to talk about it because it showed - at best - that the entire national press had got the most terrifying political scandal of the decade exactly wrong, with truly devastating consequences for the country.
