The main person behind putting up England flags in Derby recently represented their cause with a TikTok screenshot of the Silver Surfer photoshopped to have a flag on him. But it wasn't the St. George's Cross, it was the flag for the country of Georgia.

Which is very much not the same flag.

It should be noted that I have never knowingly heard a Taylor Swift song, not out of antipathy, it's just not the sort of thing I listen to. I recently found out that the one I thought I had heard was not actually by her.

She is just a bit of pop culture that is an utter mystery to me.

I have this thing where, if I hear something I wouldn't normally care about is particularly terrible, I will want to seek it out.

Hearing that the new Taylor Swift album kinda sucks makes me deeply curious about it.

Why is my brain like this?

I mean, yes, it's true that posting through it has never really worked out for anyone else, it's just made things worse, but I think the Bluesky team can make it work.

I feel like the time for fumbling the good will of the userbase of your social media platform is AFTER you've got a solid way of making a profit off it, not before.

Oh yeah it's great what you can get with it. Comparing the same bit with the same settings with regular resin I could only *just* tell the difference but it's so minor that it's, as I said, negligible. And once there's paint on it I'd never be able to tell the difference.

Considering how fried the minds of people who grew up on the pre-AI internet are... I don't foresee good things.

I don't mention this to promote Elegoo's resins (I am sure other brands versions are also good), but to let anyone else who's just starting with resin printing know it's worth giving ABS-like resin a shot.

Also that the people who recommended to me it are allowed to say 'I told you so'.

I am converted. I fully get why so many people recommended that stuff for wargaming minis. Negligible detail loss for more resilience is an easy trade.

Not only is it denying yourself that satisfaction, but I love when a video means I need to research into something I'm unfamiliar with! I have learned so much weird and fun shit due to it!

Once I noticed it I checked the next thing said that seemed fishy and it did, in fact, turn out to be incorrect.

Just watched a video where it was pretty obvious from the waffling tone around certain subjects that the person had used AI to write at least some parts.

Which had the fun effect of making me assume they were wrong about everything they said in the video. So everyone's time is wasted. Cool.

For the final mini I’ve painted that I forgot to post: this little guy from the 3D printing video.

I think it says something about how my brain works that I decided to try a non-metallic metal sword for the first time on a miniature that’s like 18mm tall.

Although realistically what this will probably mean is it'll be a lot of 80s Citadel minis with anything I can't be arsed to pay silly secondary market prices for made on our 3D printer.
