Waltz is aiming for the rift, like a good politician with phrases like "untrained officers." We are at the stage where we need to aim for the rifts in the security forces. I'm not saying Waltz's tactics are the correct ones of course.

Which, of course, they're already fighting cops and ICE. *But* there is still a rift between the two as the off-duty arrests show. Closing this rift could be a mistake.

Seems next move is Waltz or Frey to order an arrest, but then suppose cops refuse? Then matter of hours till Waltz is in jail. Not *necessarily* a strategically bad outcome, but then protestors will be fighting both cops, guards, and ICE.

As much as Waltz looks pathetic to me, I have to admit that we have no idea about the loyalty of the cops / guards. Judging from Floyd's killing, there isn't much.
