Pattern is Willow Socks from the Woodland Designs collection by Kat Megan. Found on Ravelry.

A multi coloured (reds, purples, and blues) hand knitted sock with a lace pattern on the front. Next to it is a ball of the yarn and the toe of the second sock. All on top of the paper pattern.

After the unnecessarily complicated socks I decided to try another toe-up pattern. This one is sooo much quicker and easier. In less than ten days I've produced a whole sock and the second toe. Very pleasing indeed!

Careers in engineering biology | Royal Society Hear from people who have established a career in engineering biology.

Royal Society has an afternoon event on 13 Jan about careers in Engineering Biology, a term I discovered for the first time last year and had to google (but turns out I already knew what it was). The afternoon session has someone from DSIT royalsociety.org/science-even...

I'm pleasantly surprised to find that Google / YouTube's setting for "Allow third-party companies to train AI models using my channel content" is OFF by default and you can tick in the Channel > Advanced Settings option to allow it, if you wish. Then choose which companies can use it.

Not long after this, Potato worked out how to jump onto my desk from this position. She got pretty adept at it too, not bad for a 16yo.
Sadly, Potato took ill over the festive season and we said goodbye to her in the small hours of this morning. We had a lovely couple of years with her.
