Placebo-controlled trials are not needed to test most new vaccines. Demanding them will only reduce vaccine access. Which is the point.

people who need prophylactic antihistamines aren't comparable to people who don't need them. this doesn't follow. you'd want to measure immune response in people with normal immune responses, not already-overactive ones, before you went shutting down an immune response pre-vaccine.
