And that's why "born this way" is not a particularly great justification. We should have rights because bodily autonomy and free expression, whether we were born this way or just took it up one day for funsies

YES! They should have investigated the last-minute vote-switch. Their internalized misogynoir led them to assume defeat. But she won!

If any other president in all of history said the military should use American cities as a training ground he would be removed from office that same day. The hardest thing to tolerate in all this is how relatively silent elected democrats are. It’s ridiculous.

"Some legal experts have called it a crime to summarily kill civilians not directly taking part in hostilities, even if they are believed to be smuggling drugs."

hey @nytimes.com: there is no counterpoint here. There are no credible legal experts who would EVER say that the US military has any right or authority to blow civilian craft out of the Caribbean and kill their crews from afar without any provocation. There is no other side to this question.

Why do headlines say "norms shattered" when what is meant is "laws broken" or "Constitution violated"?

No, supporting trans rights doesn’t cost elections Opinion: Supporting protections for transgender people is not just necessary, it's crucial, argues LPAC's Rebecca Buckwalter-Poza.

No, supporting trans rights doesn’t cost elections!

“43 percent of voters were more likely to vote for a candidate who stands up for transgender people. Just 21 percent of voters would be less likely to support a candidate who supports trans rights.”

if you believe CK was "practicing politics the right way" then turn to BS to discuss political de-escalation, you clearly don't give a shit about trans ppl & other marginalized groups. if you can't plainly say these ppl are bigots & liars who are causing harm to others, then you are complicit w/them

What's happening with Jimmy Kimmel is about politics and power.

It’s happening. The takedown of Jimmy Kimmel is likely the start of a campaign to use the murder of Charlie Kirk as a pretext to use the power of the White House to wipe out Trump’s critics and his political opponents.

But we aren’t powerless. We can mobilize and organize. Now.

The one shot framework ended up making me crazy. "Oh, God, a whole episode with these people - no escape!" Style over substance.

I do. We simply disagree on how well the series provided sufficient background and context. What troubles me in the acclaim the series is getting for doing what I feel it abysmally failed to do. But at least it's starting a 'conversation'.

I can't make it any clearer that these people want us eradicated. They're angry that there hasn't already been mass violence against us. They want a Kristallnacht where LGBTQ orgs, queer bars, and gender clinics are burned to the ground just like the Nazis they take inspiration from.
