If progressives start winning (*really* hope so), and Democratics started to encourage them rather than throttle them (again, *please*), the party will start seeing self-interested, corrupt people flying a progressive flag, and it's going to be hard to stop them. Still better than the status quo.

I get that; you really pushed hard on what verbose alliteration and dramatization could provide, which is a huge risk, especially for kids, in coming across as gimmicky. But it didn't! It reads as a genuine love of the language and of epic storytelling.

I don't think you're consciously fishing here but I can be a pretty harsh critic, Bea Wolf is amazing, and I cannot wait until my boys are old enough to read it to them (at 3.5 I think they're getting close)!
