I've a feeling this is where AI in general will end up, but not before big-tech have spaffed eye-watering amounts of capital on all singing/dancing models.

AI seems to be a genuinely useful tool for coder/developers, but aren't LLMs overkill? Smaller models targeted on specific programming languages (or groups of languages for front/back end) would surely be far more efficient (and more likely to be accurate).

I'm currently using someone else's samples of the various sound effects, but eventually I'll delve into the original code and see if I can get Godot to generate approximations.

I'm having a go at recreating the ZX Spectrum Jet Set Willy in Godot Engine. Last night's work was recreating the soundtrack, experimenting with some waveform samples I generated, and getting Godot to pitch-shift each note, with an amplitude envelope generated by tweens.

I was never going to remember that making a grid item span several cells uses "grid-column-end: span x". I knew where I was with HTML tables and colspan.

I only occasionally develop front-end stuff for the browser, little puzzle or card games that don't need the power of Godot Engine, and I loathe CSS with a passion. Can they just rip it up and start again? Currently grappling with grids... I have about 15 MDN tabs open.
